Samurai Bride is such a chaotic anime. I expected a story about samurai spirit, but the dojo suddenly became a maid café just to stay afloat! There is far too much nudity for viewers under 18. Hopefully, the next episodes connect more with history and samurai culture.
I didn't find the story to make much sense at the beginning, nor at the end. What does a maid café have to do with a samurai dojo? The animation effects during the battle were amazing, nothing to say against that, but the plot wasn't very interesting, at least in this first episode. There's a pretty awkward narrative cut—it feels like two separate stories are being told at the same time. I'm curious to see how they'll organize the events going forward. For now, I can't give it more than 3 stars.
