Samurai Bride

Analyzing the whole story, I think it’s a really great concept, but executed quite poorly. It could have been much more interesting if they had expanded on the Stone and the evil spirits—it feels like they didn't really know how to start telling this story, so by the time you reach the ending, what you witness doesn't hit with a strong emotional impact. This final episode is pretty fantastic in terms of the battles, and when they arrive at the battlefield, there's the classic Akira bike slide reference haha, a total classic.

This episode really gave off total Dragon Ball Z vibes—so much chikara, so much power, so much ki everywhere. The episode is packed with battles, and all those fights that have been building up throughout the entire story finally happen here. So I'd say the pacing of the episode is pretty fast, solid, and makes complete sense as we get closer to the end. PS: Kanetsugu deserves better 😭

So this anime actually can have an episode where the story is told in an organized way without so much nonsense getting in the way—about time! In this episode, a lot of questions about the plot get answered, so I'd recommend not skipping it. Even though it's a bit more "chilled out" since there aren't any spectacular battles, there are still major revelations about the characters and how things work in this samurai universe. Let's see what happens in this duel that's only two days away.

Well, there are still some doubts regarding the Guardian Stone and what it actually does. They mention it, but only very briefly, so I guess they'll talk more about it in the next episode. As for the battles in this episode, they're much better than what I've seen before—not spectacular, but better. It seems like they finally stopped messing around and started focusing more on the main plot.

Mmm, it all starts with a mysterious assassin, and then cuts to a nice scene between a Samurai Bride and a Dark Samurai. I'd say those scenes were my favorite part, since you don't usually see both sides sharing moments in these episodes outside of silly things like the Grand Prix. I'd also say I was a bit disappointed by the recycled scene, since it was literally the exact same one from the beginning. When it comes to nudity, they're always renewing things, but when it's about battles, they don't. I don't like that, but at least there isn't nearly as much fan service as at the beginning.

The plot moves forward quite a bit from the early episodes to now. I still think using the maid café as an excuse at the beginning of the story was a waste of time, since they could have just gotten straight to the point. That way, we could have seen these tense moments and training scenes right from the start. The episode isn't anything special, but I'm giving it this rating because it actually aligns with the plot—and based on what I've seen so far, that's asking for a lot, lol.

At least in this episode, there’s some plot progression. We're still getting nudity and fan service, so it seems like that's just something this anime is going to have no matter what. I was already wondering why Kanetsugu felt so different from other episodes—something just wasn't clicking haha. You really have to watch until the end to understand that sudden change in attitude. It's nothing amazing, but at least it's better than the previous episodes.

This episode finally brings them face to face with the final boss. With the barrier about to be destroyed in the last few minutes, can Muneakira Yagyu’s group make it in time? A new transformation also appears, bringing a real turning point. The atmosphere in this episode is great.

After all this time, the one-month deadline finally arrives for Muneakira Yagyu’s group to face the Four Dark Samurai. But instead of a real showdown, each of the Four Dark Samurai leaves to complete her own mission, which disappointed me. With Japan in danger, this tense episode takes a sudden turn.

This episode reveals truths that even the Four Dark Samurai did not know, and it clearly shakes them. Muneakira Yagyu’s group also learns more about the Samurai Bride, then faces a dangerous choice that could decide everything. Don’t miss this episode.

This episode finally makes some big progress. It reveals the killer’s identity, introduces two new Master Samurai, and starts to uncover why the Four Dark Samurai were revived. It answers a lot, but at the same time, it leaves me with even more questions.

This episode introduces a powerful assassin. What will happen when several Samurai Brides face him? Will anyone die, and can the assassin be defeated? Watch this episode to find out. One thing I disliked was a repeated scene, which felt uncreative.

The story suddenly moves forward fast. Jubei Yagyu gains great power and transforms successfully, but now her life is in danger. How will everyone save her? Keiji Maeda is also impressive, facing the Four Dark Samurai alone even after losing a lot of power.

This episode finally makes a little progress. A new character appears with power equal to the Four Dark Samurai and escapes them with ease. She may help Muneakira Yagyu’s team improve, so the story is finally preparing for the coming battle.

By episode five, the story still does not feel like it is on the right track. I expected more samurai culture and progress against the main enemy, but it has mostly become a comedy. That is not impossible to enjoy, but the plot feels like it is standing still.

A new character appears, even though she was once their enemy. Why has she come to Muneakira Yagyu, and can she be trusted? Her power seems similar to one of the Four Dark Samurai, so I hope she proves herself in battle. The story is moving more forward.

Another combination of nonsense, and of course, nudity. I don't understand why they refuse so much to stick to the main plot; now in this episode, we have a grand prix and various contests among the maids. These include things so insignificant to the actual plot that even the audience watching the grand prix stopped watching the show HHHH. I felt like them for a moment. I really hope this anime gets better, but it doesn't look like we're heading in the right direction.

This episode could easily pass for hentai; the plot gets completely left behind, and the little progress made in the previous episode isn't even mentioned here. It's a shame because if I wanted to watch this kind of content, I wouldn't have chosen an anime I thought was actually about samurai. But the Japanese do it again—showing revealing outfits, fanservice, nudity, the exact same thing they've always done.

This episode is still chaotic, but the story is getting better, with less nudity. It introduces the birth of another Master Samurai and hints at the qualities needed to become one. And they are getting better, so I hope they do well against the Four Dark Samurai.

There is still far too much nudity for my taste. I wish the anime would focus more on developing its story. The monkey’s sudden appearance was strange enough, I thought it was male, only to learn it was female. What happens to it afterward is even more absurd.
