Finally, a break from the bounty hunter stuff & the conflict is finally cooking. Those weirdly strong new guys, their skills and abilities are so wild. Definitely peak character design. You gotta catch up before the lore gets even deeper!

Starts with some petty chaos, then slips into a bit of backstory that actually adds weight. Stakes pick up when things go sideways, but it still keeps that fun vibe. Nice mix of feels + action without getting too heavy.

We finally dive into Shin’s past and why he left the lab. What is the assassin group that took it over? How many more mutated fighters are coming? And what are The Order members doing at the museum? So many questions, great setup for the next episode.

This episode flips the switch. The bounty gets announced, and suddenly, every assassin with rent due wants a piece of Sakamoto. The mood shifts from random attacks to organized chaos. You can feel the pressure rising, and Sakamoto still acts like it’s just another Tuesday.

Good action scenes here but overall, this episode is more of a stepping stone for the next ones. After several episodes, we finally get to see more of Shin's background despite him being Sakamoto's first ever ally outside of his hitman circle. The ending leaves some room for speculation as well on whether we'll find out more about the ones who put the bounty of not.

Lu kidnapped because they thought she was SHIN is somehow both insulting and hilarious. Must watch!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned as Episode 7 of 11, 'Jurassic Bastard' serves as a critical midseason pivot. It follows the encounter with sniper Heisuke Mashimo in Episode 6 and transitions into a new threat targeting Shin, raising the personal stakes for the team. This episode directly sets the table for Episode 8's 'Sakamoto's vs. the Lab,' where the escalation introduced here pays off in a major confrontation.
