Episode Context

Arriving roughly a third of the way through the 50-episode journey west, episode 17 functions as a standalone narrative following the emotionally heavy 'An Ode to the Living,' which unpacked Cho Gonou's past. It provides a breather from direct continuity while still deepening the group's dynamics and moral compass, setting the thematic stage for 'The Truth of Justice' and the increasingly complex challenges ahead.
