We finally get the flashback of how these two actually met years ago. The animation for the flashback looks absolutely stunning, and it gives so much emotional depth to why they are so attached to each other now.
I really like the pacing of this episode. It is slow, but it is filled with so much context and romantic subtlety. This episode is relatively calm as well, without much flirting and the like. That said, the visuals remain impressive despite the lack of romantic moments, which usually carries much of the charm.
I’m always moved by the way Lawrence tries to show Cecilia the beauty of life. The character development here is slow but steady and never forced, so everything feels natural. The flashbacks to their story add a heart warming touch that really resonates with the audience. I hope it will have a happy ending.
