Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In a small church atop a hill, Pastor Lawrence looks after Saint Cecilia. Her presence is a beacon of hope for the villagers, as her mysterious powers protect them from the weakness of their minds and outside evils. While she appears dignified in front of the villagers, Cecilia allows her lazy side to show when alone with the pastor. Although Cecilia is the guardian of the people, Lawrence is determined to shield her from harm. Unbeknownst to Lawrence, Cecilia harbors a huge crush on him. She accompanies him on his shopping trips and provides him with divine protection every day. Despite Lawrence remaining oblivious to her true feelings, Cecilia continues to shower him with obvious displays of affection as the bond between them grows.

I absolutely love how the story shows that romance doesn't need explosive conflict to be captivating. The atmosphere is so soothing whenever I watch their journey unfold. It leaves such a sweet impression. The plot is funny and endearing, it's charming to see how each character processes and comes to terms with everything. But honestly, it can be quite gripping at times, too. It's definitely worth watching
I really enjoyed this series a lot. The strongest point of this series is its visuals. Like, for real, the overall craftsmanship is simply divine! I love the visuals, I love the animation, and most importantly, I love the art style. Every single scene never ceases to make me smile. The romance, the comfy moments, and basically the way they live their daily lives are so fun to watch. Though, if I had to nitpick something, I’d say I’m kinda disappointed with how Lawrence deals with his feelings. To be honest, I cannot fathom how dense he is! Like, bruh! Overall, I’d rate this series a 9/10! A really fun SoL series. Totally recommended!
The town looks completely beautiful with decorations and the main hook is Lawrence trying to figure out how to put his feelings for Cecilia into words.
We finally get the flashback of how these two actually met years ago. The animation for the flashback looks absolutely stunning, and it gives so much emotional depth to why they are so attached to each other now.
The romantic tension is so real here. Seeing Lawrence get genuinely flustered instead of his usual oblivious self is peak.
I really like the pacing of this episode. It is slow, but it is filled with so much context and romantic subtlety. This episode is relatively calm as well, without much flirting and the like. That said, the visuals remain impressive despite the lack of romantic moments, which usually carries much of the charm.
Man, the tension in their relationship is killing me softly! I can't stop grinning at the scenes like a bum, LOL! That said, I’m loving the visuals in this episode so much. Cecil’s face, especially, is totally charming. Her attack power is simply too strong!
Lawrence, bud, why are you so stupid when it actually matters? I’m losing my mind, LOL! That said, I’m loving the visuals in this episode so much. Watching Cecilia act so pure is simply unbearable—unbearably cute! I’m dying from all the sweetness in these moments.
Cecilia's divine protection gets a proper spotlight in this one. Plus, watching Lawrence get a bit more protective of her for a change is literally peak romance.
Cecilia and Lawrence have some cute interactions. Things get a little eerie at the middle of episode and slowly towards the end it introduces this darker, tragic weight to the role of a Saint that we hadnt really felt before.
Cecilia adorable overthinking leads to some funny misunderstanding. The emotional vibes are so tender here, it shows how much she treasures their little life together.
Cecelia in a new outfit that is super cute for some reason. Plus, we get a massive dive into Abel background in this one. The vibes are a bit more dramatic than usual.
The crew finally leaves town for the first time. The change of scenery looks gorgeous, and the animation for the new city vibes is super pretty.
Hazelita shakes up the church's daily routine in this episode. The world-building gets a nice little expansion here.
Lawrence spent the whole time stressing out in this episode. The misunderstandings are so funny, and seeing Abel tease them the entire time is literally the best. It's just so wholesome watching them care about each other this much already.
New character shows up makes the whole dynamic even funnier. Seeing Cecilia get all flustered and protective over her oblivious pastor is just pure gold.
This premiere is so adorable. The cozy vibes are immaculate, and the animation is honestly so pretty and soft.
This is a somewhat heavy episode that made me tear up a little. To be honest, I didn’t expect to feel this way. The story itself isn’t even that dramatic, but the narration and craftsmanship made this episode incredibly touching. I absolutely love this episode.
LMAO! I just can't stop laughing at the looks of disappointment. Though, I’ve got to 100% agree with them on this one. Cecilia’s really hopeless in this situation, LMAO! On a side note, I can't help but get pissed at how indecisive Lawrence is. Like, come on, bro!
I can't help but laugh at how Hazelita folded under zero pressure, LOL! That said, I totally love the cozy atmosphere in this episode. The small talks were really cute, and watching Cecilia fangirl over Lawrence is such a joy. I just can't get enough of her expressions. So cute!
