When Mercury managed to snatch that dark crystal right from under Endymion it was such a great display of how she can handle a fight without relying on everyone else

Endymion is genuinely terrifying in this episode and the way he just coldheartedly collects the soul crystals from those former youma shows how far gone he actually is

I think this might be one of my favorite Ami episodes because she finally stopped overthinking everything for a second. It was actually kind of painful to hear Urawa talk about himself like he was just a tool to be sacrificed, but Ami's speech at the amusement park really hit home and showed how much she has grown as a person

Makoto being the one to tell Ami she is allowed to have feelings and fall in love was such a sweet moment and exactly what her friend needed to hear

My heart broke when Mamoru almost came back to his senses during the purification only for Queen Beryl to snatch him away again and ruin the whole moment

The Ferris wheel ending with Ami and Urawa was the cutest thing ever and it was nice to see them get a small win after all that dark kingdom drama

The way Usagi was crying over her manga while the world was literally ending, that was the most relatable thing ever and provided some much needed humor before the battle

Seeing the amusement park lights turn on in the middle of that snowy standoff with Endymion made the whole atmosphere feel so surreal and lonely for Mercury and Urawa

I felt so bad for Urawa when he said his life didn't matter because he wasn't human and Ami really stepped up to show him he's wrong about that

It's genuinely wild to see Endymion like this, just full-on hunting Reika, and honestly, it makes me so sad when his eyes briefly return to normal during purification because you can almost see the real Darien trying to break through all that brainwashing.

Did we really need the Seven Youma to pop up again this week? I just found myself so frustrated, feeling like the girls should be facing new, more powerful enemies instead of rehashing old fights when the real threat from the Dark Kingdom is still out there.

I really liked how Mako totally called out Ami on her feelings, it was so sweet and just like a good friend would do. It honestly made their amusement park trip feel extra special, like Ami really needed that push to finally relax and be herself.

Ugh, I really felt for Ami when Urawa pulled that noble martyr act on the phone; it's so frustrating to see him constantly think his life has to be some grand sacrifice. She deserves someone who can just be with her without all that drama, you know?

Ugh, my heart broke watching Beryl just rip Endymion away from Usagi again, especially after that little spark of recognition in his eyes right before those dark thorns totally consumed him. It's so frustrating to see them almost connect, only for Queen Beryl to just shut it down, like, how much more can they take?

Ugh, I still can't stand seeing Mamoru all evil like that, it just breaks my heart knowing he's in there somewhere. But man, my jaw dropped when Mercury actually got through to him for a second and snatched those soul crystals back; it was such a powerful moment for her.

I just felt so heartbroken hearing Urawa say he should die because he wasn't fully human, like, that's such a heavy thing for anyone to carry and it really makes you wonder how long he'd been struggling. Ami just quietly holding his hands at the amusement park gate, without needing a big speech or anything, felt like exactly the comfort he needed, and it honestly choked me up a bit seeing her be so gentle.

I was genuinely surprised to see Ami actually choose her heart over her responsibilities, it felt like such a huge moment for her character growth. And then her using that bubble spray to totally outsmart Endymion? That was just awesome to watch, I didn't see it coming!

Poor Reika, just trying to get some archaeology sketches done, and then the Dark Kingdom just *attacks* her like that? I can't believe they're going all out to revive all seven monsters at once, and it honestly makes me question how much more power they've secretly been holding back all this time. I'm so anxious about what the Sailor Guardians will have to deal with now.

I totally cracked up when Usagi was more stressed about her manga getting ruined than the actual bad guys, it's such a classic Usagi move that makes me wonder if she *ever* takes anything seriously. And the way the girls quietly let Ami have her sweet moment on the ferris wheel really showed how much they love and support each other, it was so wholesome to see.

Okay, I was genuinely surprised to see Mako get taken down so quickly by Endymion, like, come on, she's usually way tougher than that! But honestly, Ami really shined for me when she put her own feelings first during that amusement park fight, it was great seeing her finally do something for herself.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 41 of 46 places this squarely in the final stretch of the Dark Kingdom arc, where the series is building toward its climactic confrontation — yet this filler detour pauses that momentum to give Ami a rare personal spotlight alongside Mamoru. The surrounding episodes are rapidly escalating stakes and revelations, so this serves as a brief emotional breather before the intense endgame. Fans pushing toward the finale can treat this as optional, but those who value Ami's characterization will find it a worthwhile side stop.
