Watching Usagi try to force those two together on a date was hilarious and she really has no chill when it comes to being a matchmaker for her friends

It was actually pretty cool that Ryo used his powers to figure out Ami was a sailor guardian but decided to keep it to himself to respect her privacy

I definitely wasn't expecting this episode to go so hard with the emotional stuff, especially with Ryo asking Mercury to end him before he turned into a monster for good. It felt way more serious than the usual filler and Usagi giving him that picture of Ami eating a burger was such a sweet touch that I actually started tearing up

That scissor monster looked absolutely terrifying and the way it broke Sailor Moons tiara in half was a brutal wake up call for the team

Ami finally gets an episode about her but the new kid ends up taking most of the spotlight which feels like a missed opportunity for her character growth

It was so cute seeing Ami and Ryo be such total nerds together and when she called him by his first name at the very end it actually made me melt

I was seriously gutted when Mercury wouldn't give up on Ryo, even with him pleading to be put out of his misery before turning into a full youma. It was such a powerful moment watching him fight his own monster just to help the girls escape, and honestly, it's a huge bummer that they wrote him out so quickly after that because I really thought he and Ami had something special.

I seriously cracked up when Usagi pulled out that photo of Ami scarfing down a burger, trying to play matchmaker. I mean, only Usagi would think that was a smooth move, but it totally tracks with her chaotic good energy.

Wait, was I the only one who just couldn't focus on that wild scissor monster transformation because Ryo was giving off such strong Shinji vibes? I was genuinely wondering if the animators were pulling a sneaky crossover episode on me with that character design, which made it hard to take the monster seriously at all.

Ugh, I was seriously rooting for Ami and Ryo after they finally started getting close, so it just felt so unfair when he moved away right after. Like, come on, my heart can't take these almost-romances!

I was so shocked when Bunbo just caught Usagi's tiara and broke it like it was nothing, I mean, that thing usually just vaporizes monsters! It really made me think, like, is this going to be a tougher fight than usual for the girls?

I totally cracked up when Ryo predicted that water was going to splash all over Usagi – like, how specific can you even get with a premonition? It was such a silly moment, but it definitely had me wondering what else he could see coming and if those visions would get super serious later on.

OMG, that picture of Ami chowing down on the burger Usagi gave Ryo was so unexpected and totally cracked me up! I loved how it actually helped Ryo hold onto his humanity; who knew a silly photo could be so powerful in the face of all that darkness?

I was totally floored when Ami only got second place, like, for real?! My girl is always top of the class, so that really showed me just how smart Ryo must be if he managed to beat her.

Ryo desperately clutching that picture of Reika as he fought his transformation made me realize just how deep his feelings ran; I mean, his love was literally his only anchor to humanity. I was really holding my breath, hoping against hope that they'd get their normal life together after all this.

I was so surprised when Ryo already knew Ami was Sailor Mercury, it totally caught me off guard! It made their connection feel so much more unique and significant than all the monster of the week battles, like he really sees her for who she is beyond the uniform.

I totally loved seeing Jupiter and Mars team up to save everyone, especially because I feel like Mako is still so new to the whole Sailor Guardian thing! It was super cool to see them working together already, makes me wonder how powerful they'll be once they're really in sync.

Ugh, I was a little annoyed when Jupiter and Mars showed up right at the end because I really wanted Ami to get her big win all on her own! It just felt like they stole her thunder a bit, especially since this episode was totally set up to be *her* moment to shine.

Bunbo, with his oddly clunky design, absolutely stunned me when he pulled out those giant scissors and then just straight-up defied Zoisite’s orders! I hadn't imagined a youma could have that much individual will, and it really made me wonder if even these monsters have their own secret motivations.

Ryo's desperate screams as Zoisite ripped out his crystal absolutely crushed me, especially since all he ever wanted was to finally live a normal life. I was genuinely on the edge of my seat, wishing someone, anyone, would intervene to save him from such a cruel fate; it just felt so incredibly unjust that he never got the chance. What a tragic end for someone who just wanted to be ordinary.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting past the halfway mark at episode 27 of 46, this filler lands in a stretch of the first season where the core Sailor Guardian team is fully assembled and the show frequently alternates between standalone adventures and Dark Kingdom escalation. Nothing from the main arc carries into or out of this episode in a meaningful way, making it a clean standalone. The season will begin tightening its focus on the overarching conflict as it moves toward the final act in the episodes ahead.
