I was actually pretty surprised when this beach episode turned into a creepy horror mystery, which was a fun twist. Seeing Ami, who sometimes seems so perfect, connect with Sakiko over feeling lonely really made me feel for both of them, and it made the whole monster fight feel way more personal than usual.
