Rei slapping that paper charm right on Usagis forehead was hilarious and seeing Usagi just fall over like that was so funny

I couldn't help but laugh when Rei started teasing Usagi for being a crybaby as soon as the danger was over

Sailor Mars is a total powerhouse and she really just stole the show by incinerating that monster while Sailor Moon was still struggling

Rei slapping that paper charm on Usagi and knocking her flat had me laughing so hard and she is already my favorite because she actually gets stuff done while looking cool

The episode ending with the girls walking together under the crescent moon shows that their bond is already starting to form

That old man at the shrine is way too creepy for trying to flirt with all the teenage girls and he really needs to act his age

How did Tuxedo Mask even get into that weird void dimension and he just shows up out of nowhere to give a pep talk

It was actually pretty scary when Ami got sucked into the portal and left Usagi all alone on the sidewalk, but at least Mars finally showed up to help

Usagi had to use her disguise pen to act like a bus conductress and that was the only way she could stop shaking long enough to save Ami

Rei is so cool with those crows and the fire ritual but seeing her accidentally slap a charm on Usagi face made me laugh so hard

Fire rituals at the start really set a dark tone for the episode and I was so hyped for Rei to finally join the squad. Her design is easily my favorite so far, but her grandfather is way too much of a creep with the girls at the shrine. The way she handled the bus monster with Fire Soul was incredible

Jadeite really thought he was slick dressing up as a shrine worker but Rei saw right through him with her psychic fire powers

Okay, so I was genuinely freaked out by the ghost bus sucking all the energy out of those girls, that was some seriously dark stuff for Sailor Moon, but then Rei's grandfather just rolls in and makes everything super awkward and honestly kinda pervy. It's such a weird switch from spooky to cringey, but I guess I should just expect that kind of whiplash from this show, especially since Mars finally joined the team.

I'm already cracking up at Rei and Usagi, like, Rei just has no chill for Usagi's crybaby moments, it's so me with my friends sometimes. I can totally see them bickering nonstop but somehow still being besties, which honestly makes me love their dynamic even more.

Woah, I was actually pretty surprised by how aggressive Sailor Mars was! Watching her just totally incinerate that monster with 'fire soul' was such a wild change from Usagi's usual cry-and-use-Moon-Tiara-Action routine, and honestly, I'm kinda here for it.

Okay, but seriously, I almost choked when Rei just straight-up slapped that charm on Usagi's face! She totally thought Usagi was a monster, which honestly, I kinda get sometimes, but that was just too much.

I was honestly so surprised by how much guts Rei had, just stepping up to Jadeite like that even before she was Mars! It really made me think, like, wow, if she's this strong willed *without* powers, her transformation makes the Sailor Guardians feel like they're finally getting serious power.

I seriously laughed out loud when Tuxedo Mask buckled up mid-dimension jump with those buses; it's so typical of him to try and be cool but still be super cautious, which just makes him even funnier.

I was totally surprised by Rei's fire ritual at the beginning; it was so intense and really showed off how cool and powerful she is right away. I got the feeling she's not someone to mess with.

I'm already cracking up at Rei and Usagi; I can just tell Rei's gonna have zero patience for Usagi's antics, and honestly, I'm so here for that chaotic dynamic. It's gonna be amazing to watch them butt heads all the time!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting roughly one-fifth into the 46-episode first season, Episode 10 is the third and final major Sailor Guardian introduction in the early recruitment arc, following Mercury's debut in Episode 8. The Dark Kingdom threat has been steadily escalating through standalone encounters, and adding Mars significantly raises the team's combat capability heading into the mid-season conflicts. From here, the series transitions from building the core team to deepening their bonds and tackling more complex enemy schemes.
