Synopsis
A young psychiatrist named Nozomu is carrying on his late father's research into something the academic establishment doesn't want to hear: that women's psychological struggles trace back to unresolved adolescent trauma, and that hypnosis might be the key to fixing it. When his paper gets rejected, he decides to test his theory directly, taking on three patients — including some people close to him personally — and walking them back through their pasts to give them the school experiences they never had. That's where things get complicated, professionally and otherwise. The premise has genuine psychological intrigue built into it, this idea of reconstructing memory and identity through guided regression, and the character dynamics get messy in ways that feel intentional rather than accidental. The blurred line between therapist and patient, between helping someone and projecting onto them, is actually worth thinking about. This is a 2-episode OVA from 2011, adapted from a visual novel, so it moves fast and doesn't overstay its welcome. If you've watched something like Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and appreciated when adult anime at least tries to build a story around its content, this is in that lane. It's not going to rewrite the genre, but it's more structured than most, and the psychological framing gives it a bit more to chew on than the average entry from this corner of the catalog.
