Nostalgic anime for me. It never fails to be wholesome and a reminder that we all have a choice to stay true to ourselves. This anime never failed to provide great humor and serious tones. The characters in this anime have more layers than they seem. Proven by this episode.

Episode Context

Sitting early in a 94-episode run, episode 7 marks a critical tonal shift from the character-introduction phase into deeper, more personal conflicts rooted in Kenshin's violent history. It directly escalates the threat introduced in episode 6 by a figure from Kenshin's past, turning philosophical tension into physical confrontation. This episode establishes the template for future arcs, past enemies resurface, Kenshin's ideals are tested, and the people around him become both his strength and his vulnerability.
