Episode Context

Following episode three's deeper exploration of Kenshin's Battōsai past, this episode pivots to world-building by introducing Sanosuke Sagara, one of the series' most enduring characters. His arrival adds a layer of rivalry and potential alliance that enriches the Kenshin-Kaoru-Yahiko dynamic established in the opening episodes. Still in the foundational stretch of the series, this episode sets the stage for evolving relationships and upcoming conflicts that will define the arcs ahead.
