Like that it was an episode that was not just light and sweet. You get the soft pet plot at the beginning and then it starts to move to a more serious side but the conclusion is swift. We also get more backstory for Rufuria and Rakira , overall a solid episode.
Skip this episode unless you love animal episodes. It’s sweet, but the "finding an apartment that allows weird companions" plot is a bit slow. The writing is okay, but without any standout animation to carry the slower moments, this one drags. Still not my cup of tea, but it's harmless.
Yeah, there seems to be a gradual creep towards some serious topics as the show goes on. Considering what happened to the world before it got to where it is today, it's kind of understandable. I guess the message here is that optimism can still have a room in society despite all it went through in the past. So far, all episodes have concluded in a rather lighthearted manner but I'm fully expecting it to change overtime, although not that much since the tone of the series has become its major selling point. Let's see what's next, shall we?
