What I'm confused about is what really happened because I can see that Yuri seems to be emotional when it comes to Mage. Some good developments in this episode and I think the story is progressing. There were also badass characters that shined.

The episode expanding the lore by introducing a new cold, highly threatening character. It adds a great layer of tension to their journey.
