Later, in the mines, the engine effortlessly pulls ore, replacing human toil with relentless, mechanical force.

Later, Anna is welding in the castle courtyard when Nana approaches, her small voice full of fear about the coming 'Months of Demons.' Nana has heard the stories, the horrors of winter. The fragile hope in the infirmary is shattered by Barov's urgent news: Nana's father, Baron Pine, has arrived, furious and armed. The Baron forces his way into the castle, convinced Roland has enslaved his daughter. In the throne room, Baron Pine accuses Roland of kidnapping Nana and forcing her into heresy, a path that will lead to her execution. Karl draws his sword, a tense standoff ensuing, as the Baron reveals his anger is rooted in a desperate, fatherly desire to protect Nana from the Church's inquisitors.

The standoff dissolves when Nana herself rushes into the room, throwing herself into her father's arms. He sees her, healthy, well-dressed, and clearly happy with Roland. Over dinner, the Baron recounts discovering Nana's healing magic, a secret they guarded for years, always fearing the Church.

Just as the Baron considers taking Nana home, a group of miners arrives at the castle gates. They carry the worker Nana healed earlier, falling to their knees, calling her their 'goddess' and offering humble gifts. Seeing his daughter embraced, not reviled, the Baron is fully won over. He kneels before Roland, pledging his sword and his lands to the prince's cause. He commits to defending Border Town against the coming winter, a new, powerful alliance forged in the face of adversity.

As night descends and the first snow begins to fall, Anna and Nana sit by their window. Nightingale, the elusive witch, appears, joining their quiet conversation about the legendary 'Holy Mountain.' This mountain is said to be a sanctuary for witches. Anna smiles, telling them they no longer need to search for a hidden paradise. She declares that they have found their 'Holy Mountain' right here in Border Town. The snow falls harder, signifying the official start of the 'Months of Demons.'
