Synopsis

If you liked the slow-burn societal transformation in Ascendance of a Bookworm or the strategic world-building in The Rising of the Shield Hero, this ONA scratches a similar itch. There are echoes of Mushoku Tensei's isekai reincarnation setup, but the focus here leans way more toward innovation and logistics than personal power fantasy. The tone is engaging without being frantic. Roland wins through planning, not plot armor. Studio Thundray adapts the web novel with a focus on the political maneuvering and the gradual shift in how society views witches, which gives the whole thing a grounded feel despite the fantasy setting. Worth your time if kingdom-building is your thing.

Best show of the season wtf is the problem give us more and to the a**hat that wanted it to be more kid friendly screw you as if there isn't enough programing for the screaming adolescent masses plus what the hell did you honestly expect with a title like that I was beyond happy to finally after years see a story that wasnt trying to shove gay relationships in your face or scream every word from every character in every scene let the original team do thier work and leave them alone give us more

I was so relieved when Baron Pine finally understood Roland and Nana and pledged his support it was a great family moment
I feel like they rushed the Baron Pine confrontation a bit but it was still good to see the resolution
Man, this episode was genuinely good, and seeing Nana get accepted after her miracle, plus her dad coming around and pledging his loyalty, made it even better. I especially liked how they showed Roland's genius with the steam engine and how it could change everything. It's just a shame it ended here, as it felt like they were setting up so much more for the Demon Month
The steam engine was awesome and Karl's reaction to the new age of technology was perfect
The way the miners embraced Nana, not with fear but gratitude, really showed how much things can change
Nana's healing saving those miners and the public accepting her was so impactful and just what the town needed
The world building with the steam engine and the political maneuvering was surprisingly deep for this show
This episode was really solid but knowing it's the last one just hurts the potential was so huge
