The Precipice of Defeat
The night is black, and despair hangs heavy in the air. Gregoire and another human lie broken amidst the rocks, victims of a monstrous attack. The Dragon, too, is brought low, a purple form crumpled and still. Above them, the colossal Rock Monster advances, a silent, menacing force. The blonde man, the inner voice of the Dragon, cries out in desperation, searching for any means to avert utter destruction.
Laplace's Cold Calculation
Just as hope seems lost, a strange voice, Laplace, breaks through. It declares an upgrade to the 'Voice of God' skill, granting access to simulations. The Dragon is suspended in a glitching void, as Laplace coldly informs it that warning is futile, that it is an 'exception.' The voice bids a detached farewell, implying a deeper game at play, much to the blonde man's fury.
The Hard Truths of Evolution
With the Rock Monster relentlessly attacking, the blonde man understands his only recourse is evolution. Laplace presents four options, but each comes with crushing odds. The 'Little Arc Dragon' offers a mere 4% chance of victory, less than 1% for saving the injured, while others promise mutual destruction or ignoble flight. Frustration boils over as the blonde man grapples with a system seemingly designed to offer no true escape.
Gregoire's Desperate Plea
Ignoring the grim predictions, the Dragon makes a desperate attempt to save Gregoire. The injured man, however, is lucid enough to understand their predicament. He questions why a 'Calamitous Dragon' would fight for humans, then makes a horrifying request, "Eat me." He believes consuming him will grant the Dragon the strength needed to win, fulfilling a monstrous prophecy.
The Path of Calamity
The blonde man recoils in disgust. "I'm not that kind of monster!" he shouts, vehemently denying the gruesome path. Yet, as the battle rages, Laplace reveals a new title, 'Path of Evil.' The system presents the 'Yakubyou-ryuu,' a 'Calamitous Dragon,' as the only viable evolution. Despite his revulsion, the blonde man accepts this fate, sacrificing his identity to save others.
The Calamitous Dragon Emerges
The Dragon transforms, its new form menacing and dark, a true 'Calamitous Dragon.' Villagers like Ora watch in horror, unable to comprehend the creature that now stands before them. The newly evolved Dark Dragon wastes no time, charging the Rock Monster with devastating force. The battle is a brutal exchange, with the Dark Dragon using its raw power to overwhelm its foe.
Victory and Betrayal
The Dark Dragon unleashes a flurry of attacks, 'Dragon Punch' and 'Dragon Tail,' shattering the Rock Monster piece by piece. As the monster falls, defeated, a tear rolls from the Dark Dragon's eye, a brief glimpse of the regret beneath the monstrous exterior. But for the villagers, only horror remains. Ora, witnessing Gregoire's demise, blames the Dark Dragon, believing it directly killed his friend.
Marcia's Condemnation
Ora's accusations poison the air. Marcia, the armored leader, turns a condemning gaze upon Mariel, who had championed the Dragon. Dismissing Mariel's tearful pleas, Marcia declares the creature no longer the 'Irusia' Mariel knew. With conviction and fury, Marcia raises her staff, unleashing a powerful spell that consumes the Dark Dragon, seemingly bringing its desperate journey to an end.
The Seed of Hope
Grief envelops the survivors. Mariel weeps, her faith shattered, while Marcia stands resolute, but burdened by the cost of her actions. Yet, the episode ends not in total despair. A white flower, a symbolic egg, and finally, the Dark Dragon himself, alive and recuperating by a serene lake, hint at continued life and a path forward, albeit one fraught with uncertainty.

The journey continues and it's getting more interesting for sure. That ending left me wanting more tho, why do they always end on cliffhangers smh

Decent episode overall, the evolution choice was interesting. Wish they didn't end on such a cliffhanger tho, now I gotta wait another week
