An episode with a compelling look at the school's everyday magical oddities. The visual palette brightens slightly during greenhouse scenes, populating the screen with colourful, fluidly moving sentient flora that subtly hints at hidden danger. I also love the smooth animation from the episode.
The teasing, taunting tone of voice was perfect for making someone mad, which fits the character so well. It’s also nice seeing different settings that build up the world through these challenges. Something totally unexpected happened at the end, making you super curious about what's coming next.
Yep, this was a good episode. Once again, it did have more HP stuff like the choosing the brooms scene but I think the show did well in differentiating itself with the latter half. Pete's unique ability turned out to be a thoughtful integration of queerness/sexuality, which I wasn't expecting. It's subtle rather than explicit. It fits well within their universe.
