Deeply suspenseful investigation pacing I can feel from the episode. The animation relies on harsh, low-angle torchlight physics to frame the characters as they search dark rooms, using sudden, widening eye reflections to emphasise brewing danger.
The voice acting carries the heavy dialogue of the characters. It's nice how well the floating magic, the eye glances to the vibrant magic effects and the dark glow that makes the evil side look way more effective.
Lots of flirting and teasing at the beginning, Michela is quite the odd one in her decisions. Good to see that the special classes are still a thing, and still as chaotic as ever. And I thought the novelty wore off already. Expected or unexpected, Katie is involved yet again and is used as a plot device - the weakest character so far. But that just means that things get even more interesting for us.
