I swear this anime is allergic to taking the easy route and I love it for that. Instead of giving us some cheesy power up moment, it keeps everything grounded in the characters themselves. By this point I wasn't even watching for the mystery anymore, I just wanted these girls to catch one break... which probably means they're not getting one.
