Episode Context

Episode 13 closes out the Kaede arc that intensified in the preceding episodes, particularly following the dramatic turning point in episode 12, 'Life is a Never-Ending Dream.' As the final episode of a 13-episode season that cycled through multiple character-driven arcs, Mai, Tomoe, Rio, Nodoka, and finally Kaede, this conclusion ties off Sakuta's most personal storyline while deliberately leaving threads open for the sequel film, 'Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl,' which continues directly from here.
