Episode Context

Sitting at episode 136 of 161, the series is deep in its late-run stretch of largely self-contained comedic episodes. This follows an episode centered on a telepathic boy causing trouble at the Tendo dojo, and precedes 'Tatewaki Kuno, Substitute Principal,' which shifts focus to Kuno's brief and inevitably disastrous stint running the school. The Happosai-focused premise here is typical of how the show cycles through its ensemble cast in this phase, giving each character pairing a spotlight episode.
