Episode Context

Sitting at episode 114 of 161, this filler installment pivots from the familial themes explored in the preceding Kodachi-focused episode to inject a new recurring character into the mix. Gosunkugi's introduction expands the already crowded web of one-sided crushes and rivalries orbiting Ranma and Akane, and subsequent episodes will continue to mine his unrequited feelings and hapless scheming for comedic material. While skippable as filler, it establishes a character who becomes a recognizable part of Furinkan High's eccentric ensemble going forward.
