This episode introduces another character and centers on a love triangle caused by Ranma’s father, hahaha. It creates tension and confusion, especially for Akane. In the end, it never fails to make you laugh.

The episode was how I remembered it back then minus the severely watered down actions of Happosai. It was very disappointing that the distracting sound effects character pop-ups have been retained plus the art and animation on the lake is inconsistent not to mention that the art of the food have dipped quite a lot, it's not detailed anymore. It's seems that they are running out of budget and the animators are getting tired 🤷

I really like the simple intro scene of this episode. Nice episode overall, giving Ryouga some spotlight. I love everybody in this episode, the ending was so cute. Ryoga remains best character. The animation is still peak, and the pacing is ok too.
