Okay, so we have an old-school magical girl anime. There's a lot of exposition right from the start, but that's pretty standard for this type of anime back then. We have a group of warriors from a kingdom in crisis, and they need a young girl to save them all from the corruption that threatens to spread across the Earth. The premise isn't groundbreaking, but the protagonist is charming in her own way, and even though her family are very exaggerated characters, you feel genuine concern for her and you really want to see her win. The first episode is more introductory than anything else, but it's still interesting.
It is an interesting premiere for this series highlighting engaging character dynamics, delivering a hilarious tone complemented by its on-point animation. Moreover, this episode also underscores profound depth for Himeno, providing subtle perspective into her circumstances. Plus, although the animation aesthetics carry a nostalgic feel, they capture the comedic timing perfectly within a concise runtime, really capturing my attention upon watching aside from the interesting chemistry.
Un primer episodio muy completo que te presenta todo lo que necesitas saber: la vida de la protagonista, el conflicto, mostrar a otros personajes secundarios, batalla y construyendo la premisa a partir de la cual se desarrollará el anime. Aunque pueda parecer apresurado, está bien para presentarte lo necesario sin alargarse ni aburrirte. Me gusta la personalidad de la protagonista, tiene carácter y es una mujer que no se someterá ante nada ni nadie; no es la típica princesa indefensa. Veremos cómo se desarrolla el romance, pero parece ser típico romance escolar; lo que quiero ver es el drama y cómo el conflicto permea su relación.
