This episode surprised me in so many ways. From the heartwarming reconciliation between the two wizards to the unexpected arrival of the others, it kept me on the edge of my seat. You could definitely say it was a thrilling episode!
The party here has some good highlights but the animation quality was holding them back. This episode relies on close up shots and cuts between faces rather than giving the scene some weight to it through movement. The animation here really feels like it lacks budget and is stiff.
This episode is a definition of a thrilling, action-heavy entry. The art team crafts creepy, fluidly animated shadow beasts that break into the courtyard, utilising stark, high-contrast torchlight physics to build a dark, suspenseful atmosphere.
