Episode Context

Following the settling-in period of the previous episodes, where Ojarumaru found shelter in the Tamura household and reconnected with his firefly companion Denbo, this episode opens the world outward by taking the prince into Moonlight Town itself. It establishes the recurring dynamic of town exploration and the Oni Child Trio's ongoing attempts to confront Ojarumaru, patterns that will define much of the series' episodic rhythm going forward.
