Episode Context

Roughly a third into the 93-episode season, this episode marks a significant narrative pivot by introducing Korrina and the Mega Evolution arc, shifting focus from the standalone adventures that preceded it, including the mistaken-identity antics of the previous episode. It launches a multi-episode storyline that carries directly into 'The Cave of Trials!' as Ash and his friends dig deeper into Mega Evolution's mysteries. This arc becomes one of XY's defining stretches, making this an essential entry point for the season's larger ambitions.
