Having Hattrem and Kilowattrel get actual screen time in a big battle made me so happy because they usually just sit in the background while the starters do everything, and the animation during the Steelix fight was so crisp and smooth especially when Pagogo finally woke up to calm it down, and I hope we see more of that Zygarde Cube plot soon too

I still can't believe Amethio has been gone for an entire year just like Friede and it makes those theories about them being together feel way more real now

It was cool to see Pagogo wake up so early to help out, and the way they tied the location to the Kanto and Johto border was a nice touch for old fans

It is wild that Amethio has been missing as long as Friede was, and seeing Hamber with a Zygarde Cube makes the mystery about what happened at Laqua even deeper than before

Growth for Liko and Roy is so obvious when they handle a rampaging Steelix without needing the adults to jump in and Kilowattrel fought really well alongside them

My stomach dropped watching that massive Steelix just lose it from the Laquium; it was genuinely tough for me to see it flailing around and hurting itself like that. I kept hoping someone would snap it out of it, seeing how much it was suffering without any control.

You can really tell when Iwane is directing because the movement during the Mega Evolution fight was so fluid and those Lucario strikes had so much weight behind them

I noticed Roy actually taking charge during the search for Laquium signs and it felt like he finally grew up after being apart for a year

Uruto acting so awkward around Liko but then obsessed with Roy was so funny and his Shiny Mega Lucario looked so good during that intro fight

When Pagogo suddenly popped out to throw up that barrier for Liko, I actually gasped a little with relief. It just perfectly showed how deep their bond has gotten, and it’s clear Pagogo would do anything to protect her, which honestly made me smile.

I am still reeling from that ending because Amethio being gone for a whole year is such a huge twist and it makes me wonder what he and Friede were even doing after Laqua plus that Zygarde Cube reveal came out of nowhere so seeing that Cube in Hamber's hands has me totally confused

Wait, what was *that* Zygarde Cube doing there at the very end? My jaw honestly dropped, and I’m still reeling because now I have absolutely no idea what the Explorers are really after, or how deeply rooted their plans are.

What that Laquium did to Steelix really got to me; if it can just transform a normal Pokémon into something so monstrous, I'm honestly getting a bit uneasy about what other hidden dangers are out there. It makes me wonder just how many more of those unpredictable threats the team will have to face.

Ult trying to act all cool while being totally awkward around Liko is hilarious, especially since he just keeps getting left behind by everyone else, and he is way too obsessed with Roy

I lost it when Pagogo finally woke up to save Liko from that Steelix because it felt like forever since we saw it move and the purification was so cool

Having Lucario and Sableye both hit those Mega Evolutions at the same time was such a massive power jump and Iwane made those scenes look so clean

I cannot believe Amethio has been gone for an entire year and everyone is just now finding out about it. The theory that he might be hiding out with Friede actually makes a lot of sense given how things left off last time, but man the mystery is killing me. It really adds so much weight to the current search for Laquium

That pink mist making Pokémon turn on each other is genuinely creepy and the way that Steelix lost its mind was a bit much for poor Liko to handle

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows the two-part 'Eyes to the Skies Once Again' arc, where the Rising Volt Tacklers faced serious trials, and pivots the story toward the emerging Laquium mystery and its destabilizing effect on Pokémon. It functions as a bridge episode that deepens the central mystery while maintaining high-action momentum. The narrative threads introduced here feed directly into the next episode, 'Clash of the Nidothing Fans,' which shifts focus toward community dynamics and lighter fare.
