I felt so bad for Liko when she talked about Pagogo not waking up, especially since everyone else seems to be moving on without her.

Spinel capturing five of the heroes is a terrifying move and makes the odds against the explorers feel impossible

Hearing the Rising Volt Tacklers actually disbanded was so sad and it makes their escape from Laqua feel even more heavy

Liko feeling stuck while Roy wins with his new Lucario was tough to watch but it makes her resolve to clear their names feel real

Watching Roy beat Ann and Liko so easily really shows how much his time in Kalos changed him and his battle style

The pink mist mystery is finally getting somewhere now that Liko decided to travel with Roy and find the truth

Roy showing up with a Lucario after a year in Kalos was already cool enough, but then they showed him actually using Aura during the fight. It is the first time since Ash that we have seen a protagonist do that and it makes me think his training was way more intense than we thought. My heart goes out to Liko because she feels left behind.

The reveal that Spinel has almost all the six heroes is insane and the stakes for the explorers feel way higher than before

I was so shocked to see Roy using aura because that feels like such a big deal for a new lead and Lucario looks so strong in his battles

I hate that Spinel actually got five of the heroes and now the volt tacklers look like villains to everyone because of the explorer lies and it makes me so mad

My heart broke for Liko during her self-doubt phase, but her regaining that spark through the battle with Roy was a really special moment for me

Hearing how much they struggled while separated made the fight feel heavy but the actual animation looked really clunky and it was obvious they outsourced some of the scenes this week

It is wild that Roy came back with Mega Evolution and Aura to bring back those old school Kalos vibes even if people say he is acting like Ash now. That battle was exactly what Liko needed to stop feeling stuck and finally decide to challenge the Explorers for capturing the heroes.

Ann having a Samurott that uses three swords is the coolest thing this show has done in ages. You could see how much better she got at battling during the time skip

Watching Ann use that three sword style with Samurott was the coolest thing she has done and it really showed how much stronger she got since the school arc

The animation on Meowscarada using Flower Trick looked kind of weird and choppy this time. It is too bad because that battle with Roy was such a big moment

Spinel catching five of the six heroes is actually terrifying and it sets such a dark tone for this new mission to stop the Laquium mist

It was rough seeing Liko struggle with her mental health like that, but the way Roy stepped up to support her was great. He really has become a much more mature trainer after his time in Kalos

Spinel is a terrifying villain for getting his hands on five heroes so fast and everything changed the second they mentioned the crew were being hunted

The battle with Ann felt a bit rushed, especially since she was hyped up so much only to get wrecked by Roy and his new Mega Evolution immediately

EPISODE CONTEXT

Directly continuing from 'Eyes to the Skies Once Again, Part 1,' this episode resolves Roy's outreach to Liko and solidifies their renewed partnership after a period of separation. It functions as essential connective tissue—processing the emotional aftermath of recent events while aligning the duo for what comes next. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into 'Following Traces of Laquium,' where the strengthened bond between Liko and Roy will be tested by new challenges ahead.
