QUICK TAKES

Everything about that fight on the cargo ship looked so sharp. Dot and Quaxly launched that massive Water Gun to signal the others and the lighting was insane

I was really losing it when Spinel brought out Umbreon because that Snarl was terrifying compared to what the kids can handle, but seeing Arboliva come out of the ball to protect them was such a huge weight off my shoulders. It felt so good when Sprigatito finally grabbed the pendant back and they got away from that creepy guy

I can't believe Liko's face when Dot finally told her about being Nidothing and she just started screaming her head off while Sprigatito sat there in shock too

I felt so tense when the ship started pulling away and Roy and Liko had to jump across that huge gap just to keep the chase going

The mission to get the pendant back was so intense especially with Dot leaving her room for the first time, and her reveal as Nidothing at the end was the perfect way to finish the episode. Spinel is actually a terrifying villain with how he jams their signals and uses Beheeyem to control the battlefield like that.

The contrast between Dot's awkward Poke Ball throw and how Quaxly just dove in was so sweet, it really showed how much they already care about each other.

Watching the kids work together to find that invisible Beheeyem using Sprigatito and those leaves was actually a really cool way to win their first team battle

Dot actually getting out of her room and catching Quaxly for real was huge because she was always so hidden away and now the group feels complete

My nerves were shot when Spinel used Umbreon to blast everyone back and Arboliva showing up to block the next attack felt like a massive turning point

Friede landing Charizard on a cruise ship just to find out he was being baited by a decoy makes Spinel feel way more dangerous than the other Explorers

When Dot finally admitted she was Nidothing, I literally gasped! It's so funny thinking back to how Liko was just completely clueless this whole time, like girl, how did you not see it?

Dot was so scared when she was trapped and that was rough, but seeing her finally step up and catch Quaxly was everything. I really hope she keeps this confidence because her growth this episode was huge. That reveal at the end had me dying because Liko is such a huge Nidothing fangirl and she had no idea her friend was the streamer

Liko needs to stop relying on that pendant to save her every time things get difficult. It was a cool moment with Arboliva but it feels like a bit of a cheap way to win the fight

Spinel is actually terrifying and that Umbreon just washed the whole team without breaking a sweat. It is rare to see a villain this smart and he actually knew when to pull back before Friede showed up

Spinel is easily the most threatening villain so far because he almost got away with it if it wasn't for the group tracking him down to that ship

I can't believe Dot finally told Liko she is Nidothing and that scream at the end was so perfect. Seeing her actually catch Quaxly made me so happy because it feels like she is finally part of the team

Arboliva showing up just to be a giant raft is kind of hilarious and you can see how massive it looked compared to the ship. Liko getting the pendant back was cool but the giant tree stole the show

Fuecoco and Wattrel need to stop fighting for two seconds so they can actually land a hit. Their bickering is funny but it almost got everyone killed on that boat when Spinel started playing for real

The way they handled Dot officially catching Quaxly before the big fight felt right and it really paid off when she finally started enjoying the heat of a real battle instead of just watching from her room and then that huge reveal to Liko at the end was the perfect way to finish this part of the journey at Levincia Port
gisell_ghoul_485's avatar
gisell_ghoul_485
My heart stopped when Umbreon used Snarl and just wiped out all three of them at once because it showed how much further Liko and the others need to go

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off Episode 15's escalation where Liko's pendant was stolen, this episode channels that urgency into Dot's character development as the group works to recover what was lost. It marks a pivotal shift for Dot, transitioning her from a supporting presence to an active participant in the journey. The momentum here sets the foundation for the trio's continued adventures and the larger challenges building on the horizon.
