This episode was fine, it did somewhat conclude the whole Laqua arc, but felt a little underbaked to me for some reason. Like I was expecting a little more emotional stakes for the main conflict and battle, it fell flat in that aspect for me. Too many things happening at once.

Amazing conclusion!! The protag and antagonist finally hash out (kind of?) their differences, with him getting what he deserves after everything. Soo satisfying. The obstacles the main characters had to face to get to this point feels fun to reflect on now, what a journey.

I did not expect to start feeling sympathy for Spinel towards the conclusion of this episode, he's clearly a very conflicted character who is unsure of his own feelings. The flashback with Umbreon could've been so much more meaningful, with all the build-up around his character!

Liko standing her ground against Spinel and talking about the bonds you can feel even if you can't see them was a great moment for her character, she really found her voice today

Amethio and Roy syncing up their legendary pokemon for the final strike on the core looked so good and the way they carved that Z shape was cool

I actually felt so bad for Umbreon when Spinel tried to force that attack and the flashback of them as kids really made that ending hurt way more than it should have

The wild pokemon returning to the ruins while the group watched the sunrise from the ship felt like a solid way to close this chapter and start something new

Hamber showing up to help the kids against the core was a cool twist and seeing the older trainers use those high level moves really showed the power gap

The black and white dragons teaming up to destroy that core looked incredible and the animation during the aerial charge really stood out compared to previous fights in this arc

It was kind of sad watching Rayquaza and the other heroes fly off at the end and they did so much for the group during this whole arc

That flashback of Spinel with his Eevee actually made me feel a bit bad for him and it sucks that he let his obsession ruin the simple bond he used to have

Umbreon finally walking away from Spinel actually gave me a pang of satisfaction, not just sadness. I mean, after all the ways Spinel used and abused his own partner, he totally deserved to face the consequences of treating a Pokémon like just a tool. It's a harsh lesson, but one I think he desperately needed.

I can't believe they actually did a bait and switch with the Mega Evolutions in the preview for the next arc and people are already losing their minds over it. Part of me thinks it's hilarious that they trolled everyone with those imposters, while others are just mad that Liko isn't getting a Mega Raichu yet, but I'm just here for the chaos

Terapagos going into that stellar form and letting out the rainbow light was the perfect way to finish the fight and clean up all that lakurium junk

Seeing Roy and Rayquaza pull off that Torch Song combo was a highlight because of how the fire wrapped around the dragon during the final charge

I was definitely tearing up when Pagogo and the other legends stayed behind at Laqua because Liko spent so much time caring for that little guy

Spinel getting abandoned by his Umbreon after trying to use it like a battery was such a cold way to end his run, and that stellar form Terapagos looked beautiful when it cleared all the lakurium mist away from the facility and seeing everyone combine their energy into that rainbow dome felt like a really solid conclusion for this whole arc

It was so sad seeing the legends leave at the end and Roy waving goodbye to Rayquaza was such a bittersweet moment. They really saved the world and now everything feels so peaceful and quiet

I still cant believe Umbreon actually looked at Spinel with so much pain after that Rakurium blast and my heart just broke for that poor thing

I think Zygarde showing up in its complete form was cool but it felt a little bit rushed since Amethio barely spent any time actually collecting those cells before this big finale

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following 'Awakening! The Catastrophic Lacrim Core,' which put the full destructive stakes of the season's central threat on display, 'Stellar Finale' delivers the decisive confrontation the series has been building toward. It resolves the core conflict driving Liko, Roy, and Amethio's arcs while signaling the shape of what comes next for the world of Pokémon Horizons.
