The time for the final battle is finally upon us, with the Rising Volt tacklers flying towards Rakua, Liko and the others are ready to eradicate the Rakulium once and for all! But the plan might not be easy, with the Explorers ready and waiting for them with their vicious tactics

The animation was a little clunky in this episode, more so on the fight scenes in the middle. I'm not sure what about it, but the cursed pokemon just fell flat in terms of design and how they showed their transformations..

The conclusion for Dot and her battle with the explorers felt so unexpected yet well deserved! Despite his affiliations, Hamber really feels like a good guy at heart.

The plot reaches a boiling point with everyone coming together and working well to fight for a common goal! Such an inspiring episode

I can't believe Hamber is the one who saved the day, even if it feels a bit strange that Mollie wasn't there to help with all those status moves and curses.

Mega Charizard X and Mega Lucario facing off against that Aerodactyl was definitely the highlight. The aerial combat looked so fast and Roy and Friede were working together perfectly to keep the path clear

You have to wonder where the Explorers even got all these Mega Stones so fast. It felt a little weird that they suddenly all have them when they were just using those spheres before this

You can tell the budget is being saved for the next few episodes because the animation felt a bit shaky in the forest scenes. The ghosts looked cool but the backgrounds were pretty static

I really did not see Hamber coming to help the kids and his Dusknoir just cleared the path so fast. Seeing him use Bloodmoon Ursaluna was such a massive shock for the ground team battle

Those stalling tactics with the Yamask and Cofagrigus were so annoying and dirty. It felt like Dot and the others were really stuck and the curse logic made the stakes feel high for once

The animation during the aerial battle felt a bit stiff, and it was hard to ignore how rushed the pacing got once the Mega Evolutions started happening everywhere

I was stressed out when Rubel pulled out a Mega Medicham because three against two is just unfair and Roy had to really push his Lucario to keep up with the chaos

That moment Sango and Onyx pulled out Mega Evolution was a huge surprise and it makes you wonder how they even have that kind of bond with their Pokemon after everything the Explorers have done

Those Strong Spheres the Explorers are using seem like such a cheap way to get Mega Evolution and it really spits on the whole idea of trainers and Pokemon being partners

I actually felt a huge rush when Terapagos fired that massive beacon into the sky even though it basically invited every Explorer in the area to come and attack them. The whole Mega Evolution showdown in the air was intense but I really wish the movement didn't look so stiff during the actual clashes because those designs deserve better than this
raijin_rider's avatar

Friede diving in with Mega Charizard X just in time to save Roy from that Gengar ambush was exactly the kind of teamwork the Rising Volt Tacklers needed to keep the mission alive
kenpachi_killer_104's avatar
kenpachi_killer_104
I felt a bit disappointed because the animation for the aerial battle felt so stiff which is a shame because a four way Mega Evolution fight should have looked much more fluid than that

Dotto handled those ghost traps with Gholdengo so well and Hamber jumping in with that Bloodmoon Ursaluna to give the kids a chance to escape was the biggest save of the whole episode
zora_284's avatar

Watching the Explorers use Mean Look and Curse traps was such a smart change of pace from just spamming attacks and it actually made them feel like a real threat for once

I felt so bad for Dot and the others getting stuck in that ghost wall, but the way Gholdengo unleashed its gold rush to save them really saved the whole group.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 133 arrives on the heels of a bruising rematch in Episode 132, channeling that hard-won momentum directly into the assault on the Laquium Core — the centerpiece conflict with the Explorers faction. This episode functions as the penultimate charge before the climactic showdown expected in Episode 134, making it essential viewing for anyone invested in how the season's central conflict resolves.
