Master Mayonnaise really took the cake for weird intros; I was completely surprised by how he and his Mega Hawlucha just *appeared* after totally stalking Friede. It's such a bizarre move, but my goodness, his sheer, unadulterated passion for mayonnaise made me crack up and fit right into the show's chaotic fun.

It was so cool seeing Nemona and Arven and Penny again and having the Paldea friends back on the airship makes it feel ready for the final mission

Watching the Brave Asagi fly past the academy at the end was such a cool moment and it really showed how much the crew has grown since they first left Paldea

I felt so bad for Roy when that Mega Evolution just wouldn't click and his face at the end was so sad because you can tell how much he wants to master that Lucarionite Z

I absolutely loved how extra Master Mayonnaise was with his Mega Hawlucha and the flexing and posing during the battle actually made the whole fight way more fun to watch

I totally burst out laughing when Liko slammed the door on Master Mayonnaise, thinking it was Friede, only to find some random caped dude instead! My girl must have been *really* flustered to not even recognize it wasn't his voice or build, I mean, that's a whole other person, Liko!

The living room felt so cozy with all the characters hanging out together and it was funny how people just kept walking in whenever someone said Friede was coming back

I felt so bad for Roy and Lucario when they couldn't get the Mega Evolution to work and that Lucarite Z looks so cool though and I hope he masters it soon

That Mega Hawlucha had so much personality, especially when it was posing on top of the lamppost. It completely outclassed Lucario in every way, which just proves that Roy has a lot of work to do.

I really think this episode did a good job setting up the next arc, even if Roy lost his battle. That Lucarionite Z sounds like it might be a special form unique to this show, and I wonder if it has something to do with the aura training. Master Mayonnaise was definitely weird, but his Hawlucha was incredibly fast and handled Lucario easily.

The scene at the bar with Friede and Yanga gave some much needed info about the Rakurium and it is scary how that stuff just turns off the bond with the trainer

Having Nemona and Arven show up at the door was such a great surprise and it makes the world feel so much bigger when the old friends actually come back to visit

It feels like Roy and Friede are getting all these special items while Liko just watches and she needs something more than just a regular Floragato if they want to fight the Explorers

I laughed so hard when Liko just slammed the door in Master Mayonnaise's face because she was so done with all the random guests showing up

I love how this felt like a big reunion episode before the final battle, and seeing Perrin and the others show up to help expose the truth was a great touch. Roy losing was a bit of a bummer but Lucario definitely needs to earn that power and Master Mayonnaise is just way too strong right now with his Mega Hawlucha.

Lucario seemed really frustrated after that defeat and it finally feels like he has some actual personality and stuff to work through now

Roy is still struggling way too much with Lucario and watching him lose like that even after getting a mega stone was just annoying

When you see that shot of the ship flying past the school, it is such a nice throwback, and the professors recognizing it really shows how far Liko and the others have come on this journey.

Liko slamming the door on Master Mayonnaise made me crack up. She was so genuinely terrified of that random old man appearing out of nowhere

Roy trying to trigger Mega Lucario Z and failing was a smart move for his character growth because he needs to earn that power

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 131 sits deep in Pokémon Horizons' run, following 'Hambel on the Night of the Blood Moon,' which carried darker, more atmospheric tones — making this title's upbeat, rallying energy feel like a deliberate tonal shift toward coalition-building. At this stage in the series, the narrative is likely consolidating its cast and storylines ahead of a climactic stretch. Expect this episode to serve as connective tissue, pulling threads together before the next major confrontation.
