QUICK TAKES

I still cannot believe Friede was actually in space this whole time and why was he up there and how did he even get a Mega Starmie without a stone because that reveal was wild

I was definitely not expecting a Mega Starmie to show up when everyone was betting on Mega Charizard but it makes Friede's space trip feel way more mysterious and cool. Seeing Orla lose it and hug the star was hilarious and sad at the same time because you could tell how much she actually worried about him while he was gone.

The reunion felt a bit rushed since they didn't show much of the team missing him lately, but Cap finally getting to fly really sold the emotion of the scene

Cap using the Tera crown to achieve his dream of flying was the perfect way to bring the ship down and the music during that moment was incredible

The animation on the falling ship was a bit stiff and it didnt really feel like there was any gravity but Cap catching it with the Terapagos powerup saved the whole sequence

Mega Starmie is such a massive curveball and seeing it just float there while Friede acted like nothing happened was classic Friede behavior and it is going to be intense seeing how Roy handles that power in the next battle

Captain Pikachu really pulled out all the stops with that Flying-type terastallization to save the capsule; I genuinely didn't expect that at all! Seeing him and Friede work together in such a pinch just proves their bond is what makes this show so great, even when the plot goes totally bonkers like a trip to space.

Metagross doing the math for the rescue was a great touch and it’s nice when the writers remember that psychic types are basically living computers and use that to save the day in a pinch

I keep thinking about that Mega Starmie reveal because it makes no sense without a Key Stone. Maybe it really is the Rakurium, but seeing Friede just casually drop a Mega Evolution after being in space for ages is so like him. It was also great finally seeing Mollie with a Maushold, and now Roy fighting Friede next week looks great.

Friede being in outer space is easily the most confusing thing this show has done and it was weirdly entertaining but hopefully the writers explain the logistics soon because everyone is just acting like it is normal

Orla hugging Starmie instead of Friede was such a funny break from all that tension and it made the whole reunion feel real and way less stiff than a normal anime homecoming

When the Brave Olivine blasted into Infinity Rising mode, I literally cheered out loud! It was so clever how they pulled off that Protect and Confusion combo to snatch the capsule, seriously showing me just how much this crew has gelled and grown together since day one.

You have to see that Captain Pikachu save to believe it because seeing him use the Flying Tera type to stop that crashing ship felt huge for his character and his bond with Friede

My mind is still reeling from Metagross acting like a literal supercomputer to calculate the landing and I love when the show actually uses dex entries like that to help the team solve problems

Roy letting Liko activate the Infinity Rising mode showed how much he trusts her now and seeing the ship go full power like that was amazing

Friede coming back with a Mega Starmie is such a weird choice and the design is growing on me and seeing that teaser for Roy and Friede battling next time has me curious about what that Starmie can actually do

The way the calls from Friede kept breaking up the tension felt a bit annoying and the pacing was all over the place but at least everyone got a chance to do something

I still cant believe they gave Friede a Mega Starmie instead of Charizard and it feels so random but seeing Cap finally fly with that Tera crown made me tear up a bit

That bit where Orla hugged the Starmie because she thought it was Friede was so mean and funny but that spaceship falling looked like it was moving through honey or something

My eyes were glued to the screen when Cap terastallized into a flying type and it felt like such a huge win after he always wanted to fly

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly after 'Dot and Botan! Secret Mission,' which spotlighted a smaller-scale covert operation, this episode expands the scope dramatically by rallying the full team around a life-or-death crisis involving Friede. It deepens the bonds within the Rising Volt Tacklers while positioning Friede at the center of the narrative heading into the next episode, 'Wings of Blazing Heat! Roy VS Friede,' which promises a direct confrontation that builds on the emotional groundwork laid here.
