Episode Context

As the series premiere and Part One of a two-parter, this episode exists entirely to lay the foundation, introducing Liko, Sprigatito, her mysterious pendant, and the enigmatic Amethio as key pillars of the narrative ahead. There's nothing preceding it; everything here is new ground. The immediate payoff comes in Episode 2, which picks up directly from this episode's threads and accelerates the central conflict.
