Poke Oki
Oshimeter
Synopsis
The alarm is screaming and Monday morning has arrived. You don't want to exist yet. Now picture Sprigatito curled up on a pillow, equally unwilling to face the week — and that's basically Poke Oki in a nutshell. This 6-episode ONA is built around one incredibly specific concept: Pokémon dealing with Monday mornings. No battles, no gym leaders, no world-ending threats. Just Fuecoco being groggy, Quaxly trying to look presentable, Bewear shuffling around like the rest of us before coffee, and Arcanine being a very large warm thing you'd never want to leave. Each short captures that liminal space between sleep and consciousness where everything feels soft and slow. The whole thing is pure iyashikei — healing anime designed to make you feel a little less terrible about dragging yourself out of bed. Based on the Pokémon games but stripping away everything except the cozy domesticity of actually living with these creatures, it's less about adventure and more about the quiet comfort of a shared morning routine. If you liked the vibes of Pokémon Concierge or the standalone charm of POKÉTOON, this fits right in that space. It also scratches a similar itch to Pui Pui Molcar — short, wordless-ish, and unreasonably comforting for how simple it is. They're quick watches, clearly aimed at kids but honestly therapeutic for anyone who has ever hit snooze six times. Perfect for, well, Monday mornings.
