Synopsis
Aspiring Orange Company Undine Anya Dostoyevskaya feels dejected upon learning that her gondolier mentor, Alice Carroll, is not spending much time with her own mentor, Athena Glory. Athena—the Undine-turned-opera singer—has been attempting to arrange a meeting with Alice, but the latter seems to be avoiding her for unknown reasons. To try and resolve this predicament, Anya calls upon her fellow Undines Ai Aino and Azusa B. McLaren. As the trio works to bring Alice and Athena together, Anya gains a deeper insight into her seniors' feelings, which might just be the key to untangling the uncertainties between them.

We get to shift the story a bit from our usual Aria Company protagonists and take a look more on the Orange Planet trio! I've loved Orange Planet the most so this movie is like a grand meal for me! As usual it tackles to each relationship nicely and heartwarmingly.
This movie is a total nostalgic trip and I am honestly so here for it. We finally get the lore and character depth needed to bridge the gap between Athena and Alice’s relationship, and the visuals of Neo-Venezia are fire.
This story revisits them years later with nostalgic visuals, gentle pacing, and heartfelt themes of friendship, growth, and cherishing everyday moments.
The animation isn't particularly great, but Aria, being an iyashikei, is mostly about the characters going through their everyday problems, and this is exactly what happens! A little dull and still closely linked to early 2000s aesthetics and humour.
This movie is a total nostalgic trip and I am fully obsessed with the vibes. We finally get the lore and character depth needed to flesh out the relationship between Athena and Alice, and their duet is honestly fire.
