None of the candidates are sunshine and rainbows, but man, Professor Yoneda’s cynical and nihilistic views are so horribly DARK. 😨 This crazed scientist is making me dizzy from all his yapping lmao 😵 That said, Mirai has grown from where we started. He’s become a such better protag!

The story leaning hard into philosophy between Mirai and Gaku, it has few strong emotional beats, but it feels slightly weighed down by long debates and awkward plot logic. Cliffhanger is cliched but it works.

Episode Context

With only two episodes remaining after this, 'Wings of Determination' pivots from the strategic posturing of 'The Time for Talk' into a deeper ideological reckoning between Mirai and Yoneda. This is the penultimate phase of the God candidate conflict, where convictions are tested before the final resolution. It lays essential philosophical groundwork for the climactic episodes 23 and 24, making it a necessary bridge between confrontation and conclusion.
