This is Gammon's stage and he owns it. One thing I find weak in the plot is that, after all the revelations, most of Kaito's friends become irrational. They don't want the enemy to succeed, but their behaviors are contributing success to enemy's plan. If they don't want to risk their lives, they can say no to a puzzle challenge. And what's the guarantee that once the Divine puzzle is solved, things will change for the better? In a way, it would seem to benefit if no one solved it. Therefore, the irrational behavior doesn't add well.

But really, Gammon is one tough dude. And he just continues to make me realize how great a character he is. The fact that he will be moving into the world of POG actually hurts a little, but it may make it even better. It's just another level when Gammon does the challenges.

The group dynamics get genuinely strained here and it's uncomfortable to watch. People who've been orbiting Kaito start questioning what that orbit costs them. Gammon quietly holding things together in the background is good character work.
