EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode further suggests a series of character episodes to come before any major plot development. But that's my theory on romcoms like this. I hope we get more of Toryu's backstory though, it felt too short.

This chapter is so endearing. They're starting to focus on the backstories of the guys at the café, and I can't help but ship Chris and Shinyao. I like that the protagonist isn't the typical lazy girl who's just a nuisance.

What’s the logic behind a Jiangshi having a bunch of guns? They kind of explain it in this episode. I’m glad they keep the character roster small and manageable. I think they have a good balance and strong character dynamics. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle, but the resolution was interesting enough to save it.
