Un episodio que introduce mayor desarrollo de personaje al protagonista al mostrarle el contraste que puede existir entre la venganza y una solución pacífica. Además se nos presenta a un nuevo personaje en el shinsengumi, quien da aires de una persona muy amable. En general es un buen episodio aunque no tengamos acción, pero sirve para ampliar caracteres.
