Tension is mounting among the characters; Shinobu’s feelings and everything that’s happening are making them increasingly anxious about what will happen next and how Shinobu will react, even though this chapter has focused more on the conversations, which have been crucial.
The whole conversation between the first minion and Araragi felt very tense and awkward which is very accurate with context. Shinobu received a pep talk from Kanbaru which even I agree to most of the points Kanbaru was trying to convey. This arc really not only encapsulates the growth of Araragi but Kanbaru and Shinobu as well.
Another exposition episode explaining in length what exactly is happening at the finale, or is it? They also kind of take the theme of accountability and twist it into something less desirable for those involved. As expected, the anime's bizarreness supersedes everything else, even the coherence of the plot, and yet that is exactly what appeals to and catches the audience's attention.
