Tamaki is such a sweetheart, and it really shows here how, in his endearingly clueless way, he tries not to make Haruhi feel bad or look down on her; on the contrary, he appreciates everything she does. That’s why Haruhi’s dad sees himself in him in the end.

I like how the host club never looks down at Haruhi for being poor. They're obliviously ignorant but never mean or cruel about it. Haruhi rolling with their absurdity without losing herself is great character writing too. She's not written as insecure about her situation either.

Top episode so far! The pure illusional dream of Tamaki was gold! The chaotic first visit was overwhelmed by the deeper emotions and connection. The animation was much better with fine details. Haruhi's finally opening up and showing emotions. What a twist from Haruhi's father!

I love that we finally get to meet Haruhi Fujioka’s father, he’s already become one of my favorite characters. It’s also really funny how Tamaki and the twins were so dramatic about Haruhi’s life style just because she isn’t rich like them.

Finally got to see how Haruhi's daily life is at home! And quite an unexpected surprise from her father.

The interactions between Tamaki and Mr. Fujioka are hilarious and well-timed. They are both similar that they are protective of Haruhi.

This episode is chaotic, fast paced, and funny, with Tamaki’s clumsy attempts to impress Haruhi and her dad leading to hilarious mishaps. Amid the chaos, moments like the shrine visit show genuine care, making it wholesome and entertaining.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the high-energy Lobelia Academy confrontation in Episode 9, this episode downshifts into character-building territory at the season's midpoint approach. It grounds Haruhi's identity outside the Host Club and deepens the ensemble's bonds with her — particularly Tamaki's — laying essential emotional groundwork for the relationship developments that define the series' second half.
