This episode was so good, Oshi no Ko can handle world building, plot progression, and comedy at all at the same time with such good transition it's insane! This is probably their most hilarious episode yet, I found myself literally LOL-ing so many times in this episode. 10/10

The reality TV arc starts now! The contrast between how these kids act on camera vs. off is fascinating. Meeting MEM-cho and Akane is a game-changer. Also, the Pieyon dance was hilariously weird! I can’t believe they actually made that into a workout.

This somehow makes you feel unfair since Aqua has so many opportunities from the start but then Ruby's first steps is just now starting. The "reality" in reality shows is truthfully shown in this episode.

The funniest one! Pieyon is an absolute legend and watching Ruby with Kana struggle through that workout routine was hilarious.

I’m truly thrilled about the upcoming episode featuring Ruby and Kana as they embark on their journey to create a group idol through the magic of video-making. It's bound to be an inspiring and uplifting experience!

you can FEEL the tension creeping back in. it’s subtle but heavy. like something is brewing and nobody is saying it out loud. love that slow pressure.

Episode 5 was a lot of fun and surprisingly tense — Aqua putting on a “dating show” persona while hiding his real intentions is both funny and clever.
Ruby and Kana’s reactions were hilarious, and the mix of comedy with the subtle tension of fame and personal stakes kept me there

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned just past the midpoint of Season 1's eleven episodes, Episode 5 pivots away from the acting-focused narrative of Episode 4 and broadens the scope by introducing the idol subplot alongside the reality TV thread. This dual-track structure deepens the show's exploration of entertainment industry facades and directly sets the stage for Episode 6, 'Egosurfing,' where the consequences of public visibility and social media scrutiny come sharply into focus.
