At a bustling curry restaurant, Miyako, Kana, and Mem-Cho enjoy the food and banter, while Goro sits among them, initially contemplative. Miyako's playful insistence on using a marrow bone as a straw shows her jovial, if slightly uncouth, charm. The group plans for a second round of drinks, highlighting the social fabric of their industry.

Aqua, engrossed in video editing, calls Goro, sharp and business-like, questioning his presence at a social gathering. Goro, outside, lights a cigarette, defending his networking as essential for his industry. He asserts that connections are vital and good actors always sought, portraying himself as a seasoned professional.

Aqua warns Goro not to get "swept away" by the shrewd company, but Goro, cigarette in hand, laughs it off, claiming years of experience make him immune. He declares that a professional never succumbs to alcohol. Moments later, he is red-faced, shouting, and completely inebriated, having lost his phone. Miyako, amused, holds the phone.

Miyako teases Aqua about being Goro's "top disciple" which Aqua vehemently denies, further emphasizing his detachment. She playfully chides Goro for "hitting on younger kids" and then, with a wink at Aqua, defends her own drinking as part of her job. Aqua expresses concern for her, a rare show of vulnerability.

Aqua's star eye flashes from red to blue as Miyako asks if she introduced herself. In a shocking mental overlay, Miyako's smiling face blends with the strained, manipulative expression of Sarina's mother, pushing a wheelchair-bound Sarina down a hospital corridor. Aqua realizes the connection, his blue star eye intense with this devastating understanding.
