EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode 7 is the one where Onihei really clicks. It's got the tension of the first episode and the emotional weight of the second. Gohei's story is tragic, and watching Heizo's guilt eat at him is incredibly effective. I'm starting to get the sense that this show is more than just a period action drama.

This episode focused more on Heizō’s family and his past choices, and it felt more emotional than the others. It showed how things from the past still affect the present, and it spent more time on his home life. Not much action, but it was still good because of the story. Probably the heaviest episode so far. Tough watch, but in a good way. Worth watching if you like more emotional, character-focused episodes.
