This one has a lot more action than the last episode! That being said, it doesn't feel like the plot moves along that much. The visuals are pretty good and the fighting is fun to watch, but don't watch this episode if you want plot progression.

This episode is fast, exciting, and much better than the ones earlier. The animation looks great and the story stays tense, making it a satisfying watch.

Best episode so far. Action is back in the center as the battle between heroes and monsters begin. Atomic Samurai is so cool!! Still needs some consistent animation upgrade as its no where near to the standard set by the first season. Waiting for Saitama to start whooping!

Episode Context

Sitting at the midpoint of a twelve-episode season, 'Counterstrike' is the decisive pivot from the strategic buildup of Episode 6's 'Motley Heroes' into open warfare against the Monster Association. This episode converts the tension and planning of the first half into kinetic payoff, establishing the stakes and scale of the conflict. It directly sets the stage for Episode 8's 'Ninja Tale,' which shifts focus toward individual hero backstories and the deeper dimensions of the escalating battle.
