The way Oden just took the blame for the giant boar rampage even though Kinemon started it was such a cool move and he did not even care if the whole city hated him

I actually laughed out loud when Oden got disowned and just celebrated because most people would be sad but he just saw it as an excuse to go wild and travel around Wano

Oden is basically the Luffy of the past and the way he attracts people by just being his chaotic self is the most entertaining part of this flashback

I was actually tearing up seeing Kin'emon try to save Tsuru from that giant boar because he really was just a thug who found something worth dying for

I didn't think I would care this much about Kin'emon's backstory, but seeing him cry over Tsuru being eaten really changed how I look at his character

Orochi, even as a young kid, had such a weird, unsettling presence, and I kept thinking about what a monster he becomes. Seeing his fake humble act totally gave me the creeps, knowing it was all just a pretense for his future tyranny.

Oden taking all the blame for the boar incident while those guys just watched him was such a crazy move and it really shows why everyone ended up following him

Denjiro and Kin'emon basically forcing their way into being Oden's followers while he just looked completely annoyed by them was hilarious and it sets up their dynamic so well

The animation during the fight with the giant boar was incredible and seeing the actual heart behind Kin'emon really got to me today. He was willing to give up his life for Tsuru even before he became the serious samurai we know now, and the way the show expanded on their history makes their whole bond feel so much more earned than the manga version did

Sukiyaki disowning Oden felt more like him giving his son permission to finally go be free and explore the world instead of just being a punishment for the boar mess

I couldn't believe how easily Oden just *wrecked* that mountain god boar, honestly, it was jaw-dropping! And for him to immediately take all the heat for Kin'emon really showed me he's not just absurdly strong, but fiercely protective too.

When Oden just effortlessly cleaved that massive Mountain God in half with a single stroke, my jaw dropped! I knew he was supposed to be strong, but seeing that level of raw power firsthand really showed me why everyone in Wano revered him so much, and the art in that moment was just phenomenal.

It is so interesting how Oden finds freedom in being banished and how Denjiro and Kin'emon immediately pledged their lives to him felt so earned after that boar fight

I honestly dont think Id get this attached to Oden so quickly but he really is a different breed and that two sword style is something else, and seeing Kinemon go from a petty thug to someone willing to throw his life away for his lord is such a huge shift and it makes their future bond in Wano carry so much more weight now.

I was genuinely stunned watching Oden just casually take the fall for Kin'emon after that whole boar fiasco, especially right after pulling off that insane Paradise Waterfall. It really showed me the kind of legendary man he was, completely fearless and fiercely protective – he's not just powerful, he's got a huge heart too.

Oden just *laughed* at being disowned, and honestly, it made me question if he even cared about his family's reputation, or if that thirst for adventure truly just overshadowed everything for him. I think that scene really hammered home how unique and untamed his spirit is, setting him apart from everyone else.

Kin'emon and Denjiro crying while they followed Oden out of the city was such a powerful way to start the scabbards and the loyalty there is just on another level

You can really feel how much Oden changed their lives in one afternoon because Kin'emon went from a petty thief to a loyal follower after seeing that insane sword skill

I thought it was really cool to see how Oden just didn't care about being the shogun's son at all, and the scene where he gets exiled was actually kind of inspiring because he looked so happy to finally be free and it was also crazy how fast the story moved today and I noticed there was no narrator at the start, which made the whole thing feel different

Oden getting disowned by his dad and basically just saying okay and moving on shows how little he cares for rules and he just keeps getting cooler

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly from the introduction of young Kozuki Oden in the previous episode, this installment deepens the Wano flashback by establishing the core relationships that define Oden's retainers and their unwavering allegiance. It serves as essential connective tissue between Oden's wild early days and his eventual rise as a unifying figure in Wano. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into the next episode's shift toward Oden's fateful encounter with the Whitebeard Pirates, escalating the flashback's scope considerably.
